Day 2 - Tel Aviv, Caesarea, Galilee

Got off airplane from Hong Kong at 7:40 about 20 mins late, by the time we got our bags and went through customs and got cars it was 9:00.

Drove straight to Caesarea, the amphitheatre and palace that Herod built and also the massive boat harbour which protected all the boats from the strong winds.

Herod's palace and temple had many features - you can see the hippodrome on the right side of the picture.
Herod made a fresh water pool and also had salt water pools out the front of his palace.

Had our 50 shekels lunch; some of us shared some food to get a better deal - (end of lunch)

Went to aqueduct wall which supplied water to the palace for drinking and the fresh water pool, there were two trenches in the wall which the water travelled in.

Next stop Nazareth via Megiddo, we saw the valley of Jezereel, Mt Tabor and Mt Gilboa from the Mount of the Precipice. We talked about Jesus and what his life was like when he grew up, some of the miracles he would have done around these area and the Old Testament fights that would have take place in the valley of Jezereel.

Last stop for that day was Golan Hotel which is over looking Galilee in Tiberias.
